RedPaint prides itself on delivering exceptional service to both ends of the markets we engage in - catering to two distinct customer groups: users and businesses (Vendors). For Vendors, RedPaint serves as an exceptionally efficient and cost-effective tool for promoting their SPECIAL OFFERS and EVENTS to a specifically targeted audience—the users. Therefore, it is crucial for Vendors to exercise utmost diligence regarding the content they display or promote on their business' page.
If there's one passion we hold dearly, it's sharing exceptional places to eat, drink, explore, and reside with our users. Moreover, witnessing businesses thrive and flourish through the distinctive business tools offered by RedPaint is a source of immense gratification for us.
We're delighted to have you on board and value your opinions. However, there are certain expectations we have for every user on RedPaint. Your photos and all profile content are subject to our Content Guidelines and Ethical Code of Conduct.
If your actions on RedPaint do not align with these content guidelines, we retain the right to take appropriate action as deemed necessary. This may involve modifying or removing your photos or content, or potentially terminating your RedPaint account, either with or without prior notice. If you come across content that doesn’t adhere to these guidelines or our Terms of Service, please inform us. We carefully review all reports received. However, given the diversity within our community, content that may be disagreeable to you might not necessarily meet the criteria for removal.
VENDORS
General Practices
- Please ensure that your content remains pertinent and beneficial for all audiences. Both photos and text should demonstrate exceptional quality. Refer to the photo guidelines outlined below. Utilize language editing tools like ChatGPT to maintain a professional tone in your content.
- Always strive to provide all customers with the utmost quality of service and products. Let's work together as a collective to foster a business community dedicated to delivering the highest standards of service and product quality to our customers.
- Ensure that your business listings and contributions align with the industry categories featured on RedPaint. Select the appropriate category(s) to enlist your business. Accounts that post irrelevant, inappropriate, or promotional content, solicit users, or aim to attract customers through deceptive means may be subject to deletion without prior notice.
- As a Vendor, when advertising any rewards or free gifts on your business page on RedPaint for users, it's crucial to ensure your ability to deliver and provide these rewards or gifts. Engaging in the use of rewards or gifts to attract customers without the genuine intention or means to fulfill such promises will be considered unethical conduct. This behavior will result in the termination and removal of your account without prior notice.
Ethical Code of Conduct
- Keep it up: Strive consistently to provide all customers with the highest quality of service and products. Work collectively to build a business community dedicated to delivering top-tier service and products.
- Be professional: Ensure your content is relevant and valuable to everyone. Photos and text must meet exceptional quality standards. Adhere to the photo guidelines provided below.
- Be relevant: Keep business listings and contributions aligned with RedPaint categories. Enlist your business under the correct category(ies). Accounts displaying irrelevant, inappropriate, or promotional content, soliciting users, or attempting to attract customers under false pretenses may be deleted without notice.
- Keep your promises: Vendors, when advertising rewards to users on your RedPaint business page, ensure you can deliver on such promises. Using rewards to attract customers without the intention or means to honor them is considered unethical conduct and may result in the termination of your account without notice.
- Don't solicit: Identifying or promoting yourself as an official RedPaint Moderator at a Vendor's place of business, or using your status to solicit benefits (including but not limited to accepting money, free meals, drinks) in exchange for unacceptable or inappropriate moderation practices, or at the threat of not approving a Vendor's submissions on RedPaint, is not tolerated. Reports or evidence of such instances may lead to the deletion of your RedPaint profile or other appropriate actions without questioning. Acts constituting 'Solicitation' include the following:
- Be unique: Your profile is your identity on RedPaint, so ensure it remains unique and original. Develop authentic "selling points" to attract customers, including offering Special Offers, Events, and rewards for loyalty points. Prominent icons on your profile listing will indicate whether you provide such offers. If not, these icons will not be displayed, potentially causing users to overlook your profile. The more offerings you provide, the more customers you are likely to attract.
- Explicit/Implied agreement (written or verbal) to approve (or decline) a Vendor's submissions on RedPaint in exchange for money, free meals, drinks, etc.
- Participation in social media groups (e.g., WhatsApp/Facebook or any other platform) that offer incentives in exchange for moderator approvals.
- Avoid plagiarism: Plagiarism is a serious matter to us. Copying content, text, or photos from RedPaint or other platforms is strictly prohibited and may be subject to removal. We trust that you will generate your original content.
- Be unique: Your profile is your identity on RedPaint, so ensure it remains unique and original. Develop authentic "selling points" to attract customers, including offering Special Offers, Events, and rewards for loyalty points. Prominent icons on your profile listing will indicate whether you provide such offers. If not, these icons will not be displayed, potentially causing users to overlook your profile. The more offerings you provide, the more customers you are likely to attract.
- Don't misrepresent: Vendors should refrain from using photos, images, or text that misrepresent their business, products, or services. Content intended to lure customers under false pretenses may be deleted without notice.
- Play by the rules: Ensure that the content you add complies with RedPaint's Terms of Service, including terms and conditions of any RedPaint services, as well as local laws and regulations. Local laws take precedence, and all content is moderated or deleted to adhere to the rules.
- Get permission: Vendors must obtain written consent and permission from all individuals included in photos. In most countries, publicly displaying photos of people on any media without their consent is a criminal offense. RedPaint shall not be liable for any claims arising from the violation of this policy.
Submitting Photos/Images for moderation
"A picture is worth a thousand words" — an adage that rings true! Indeed, people primarily shop and make decisions based on visual appeal. Visual content on your business page holds immense significance, as it's what captures the attention of customers and entices them to explore your content further. However, it's crucial to bear in mind our photo guidelines. Understandably, photos undergo moderation and may be declined or removed even after publication.
- High-quality photos that are clear, focused, and visually appealing will be showcased in Vendors' photo galleries. Ambiance shots capturing the overall atmosphere or vibe of a place will be prominently displayed on Vendor pages.
- Content (comprising photos, images, graphics, and text) should not contain any elements that are harmful, indecent, offensive, vulgar, profane, obscene, libelous, hateful, or otherwise objectionable. Additionally, it should not intrude upon another's privacy or promote money laundering or gambling activities.
- Moderators will decline photos/images which Vendors upload for moderation that do not meet the criteria.
INDICATORS OF PHOTOS/IMAGES THAT WILL BE DECLINED
General Rules:
- Plagiarized: Images copied from other Vendor’s on RedPaint (if detected).
- Low Resolution: BLURRY (low resolution) or out of focus.
- Photos/images unrelated to the Vendor's listed category(ies).
- Presentation: Food/cuisine that are:
- HALF-EATEN or raw. For example, a plate of food or fruit that is half-eaten.
- Photos/images of raw food under PREPARATION. For example raw meat.
- Shadows: Images with shadows casting over the image. For example, the shadow of the photographer, a hand or camera.
Photos/images not acceptable for the Vendor's profile page (General rules above also apply)
- Branded/Promo content: Vendors are not allowed to promote other brands, nor specials or events on their PROFILE IMAGES. Images uploaded for the profile page (main images) that contain text, graphics, faded watermarks, or logos (except the Vendor’s logo), which promotes a special offer or event will be declined. For example, brands of beer, energy drinks, colognes, spices, etc.). IMPORTANT: This rule does NOT apply to images summitted for Specials, Events, Gifts, or Rewards. See Images 3 & 4.
- Relevance: Vendors must submit profile photos/image that represent the category(ies) - type of business - under which the Vendor is listed. Example: When a Vendor only registered under the category Hunting & Safaris, images of a Night Club is not relevant and will be declined.
Photos/images not acceptable for Specials, Events, Rewards, Gifts, and banner ads (General rules above also apply)
- Text or Graphics: Images submitted for Specials, Events, Rewards, Gifts, and Banner adverts can contain text, graphics, watermarks, and logos (even other than the Vendor’s). Such photos/images submitted by a Vendor will not be declined.
Banner advertisements will be declined for the following reasons:
- If it does not comply with the General Rules mentioned above.
- Low Resolution: BLURRY (low resolution) or out of focus.
- Relevance: A banner ad image will be declined if it does not represent the Vendor’s business or categories under which it is registered (text, logos, etc) and when the Url links to any other website or content not related to the Vendor's business.
When images or photos are declined for any of the above reasons, the Vendor will receive a notification to that effect.
Key Points for Vendors to Keep in Mind
- Keep your listing updated: Take charge of updating your profile as our team strives to maintain accurate information on RedPaint. Your updates will undergo a quick and straightforward moderation process. Failure to update your information such as business hours, specials, and events may lead to customer dissatisfaction, so ensure your information remains current.
- Address complaints thoughtfully: The most effective way to gain positive attention is by delighting customers with exceptional service, food quality, and an overall enjoyable experience. Rejecting complaints selectively is discouraged. Instead, compensate customers for any lapses in service or experiences that fall short of expectations, even if they seem unjustified. Remember, prioritizing customer satisfaction is key, even in challenging situations where customers may be mistaken.
- Responding to Declined Submissions: Upon submitting any content on RedPaint (such as pictures, special offers, events, rewards, or gifts), it undergoes moderation before implementation on the RedPaint app. If any submissions are declined, an email notification (and/or push notification) will be sent, explaining the reason for rejection, granting you the chance to address the issue. Take a moment to gather yourself upon receiving a rejection and follow the procedures to rectify the problem. View rejections as constructive assistance to present your business professionally. - Accountability: RedPaint will not moderate questionable activities mentioned in reviews about your restaurant (e.g., serving shisha where prohibited, providing alcohol to minors, or operating beyond permitted hours). Additionally, reviews involving third-party service providers may not be moderated or deleted if they align with our guidelines. It's essential to maintain resilience in this business - statements regarding the perceived behavior of owners or employees and reporting individual actions are not considered personal attacks.
- Restrictions on Moderation by Business Owners: In efforts to preserve the quality and genuineness of content on RedPaint, business owners (Vendors) and their affiliates involved in related business interests are prohibited from moderating other Vendors on the platform. Despite being well-versed in business categories represented on RedPaint, the passionate involvement in your business might inadvertently lead to unfair discrimination or bias. This measure is in place to uphold neutrality, quality, and authenticity of content on RedPaint.
- Red Paint Moderators: It's critical to clarify that moderation on RedPaint is carried out by vetted individuals (Moderators) who provide moderation services for the platform. These individuals are compensated based on a commission structure for their services. Any moderator claiming to be an official employee, or associate of RedPaint is not accurate. Employees and moderators associated with RedPaint are ethically and contractually prohibited from leveraging their status to seek freebies or special treatment. Upon providing evidence, appropriate actions will be taken against the moderator or employee involved.
USERS/MODERATORS

Prohibited Practices by Moderators
Moderators must adhere to the following guidelines to maintain the integrity of the RedPaint community:

Misrepresentation and Solicitation: Moderators are prohibited from identifying themselves as RedPaint Moderators at a Vendor's establishment or leveraging their status to solicit benefits. This includes, but is not limited to, receiving money, complimentary gifts, meals, or drinks in exchange for favorable moderation practices. Threatening to withhold approval of a Vendor's submissions on RedPaint for personal gain is strictly forbidden.

Exchange Agreements: Any explicit or implied agreements, whether written or verbal, to approve or decline a Vendor's submissions on RedPaint in exchange for money, complimentary gifts, or any other form of compensation, are strictly prohibited.

Participation in Incentive Groups: Moderators are not allowed to participate in social media groups (e.g., WhatsApp, Facebook, or any other platform) that offer incentives in return for moderator approvals. This behavior is against the RedPaint community guidelines.
Violations of these policies may result in the immediate deletion of the offending moderator's RedPaint profile or other appropriate actions, without further inquiry.
Seeking Advice and Legal Assistance
RedPaint, as a mobile application, does not serve as a court of law or an authority on health and safety matters. If you have a dispute with any listed Vendor or concerns about a Vendor's compliance with health and safety standards, it is recommended that you contact the appropriate authorities directly. RedPaint is not the appropriate platform for reporting illegal activities, including physical confrontations, health code violations, or issues under investigation by local governing bodies or law enforcement agencies.
Red Paint's Commitment to Ethical Conduct
At RedPaint, employees are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of ethics and integrity. This commitment involves adhering to our core values and the policies outlined below:

Employees and moderators of RedPaint are strictly forbidden from leveraging their status to seek discounts, free items, or special treatment from any Vendors. Unless for official business purposes, RedPaint employees should refrain from identifying themselves as moderators or employees of the platform while visiting Vendors.

RedPaint's photo and content moderators, while not directly employed by RedPaint, are entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining the platform's neutrality. They are mandated to exercise impartial judgment in enforcing moderation guidelines and are prohibited from displaying favoritism toward any business (Vendor).
